Pennant Fever
EXAMINING 20th CENTURY FELT NOVELTY COMPANIES AND THEIR PRODUCTS
I started Pennant Fever earlier this year to document historical information I've unearthed on felt novelty manufacturers. I hope you've enjoyed some of the content I've been able to post here. Today I announce the launch of Pennant Factory, available at: pennantfactory.weebly.com . At Pennant Factory you'll find similar content about vintage felt pennants and banners; however, this new site focuses on some of the homemade reproductions of vintage felt novelties I've hand crafted over the years. Check it out. You may find it interesting, especially if you've ever wondered how some of your favorite vintage pennants or styles were made; or how you might go about re-creating that long lost pennant you missed out on five years ago--and haven't seen back on the market since. I thought I could learn all there was to know about this hobby by scouring the marketplace daily for interesting pieces, and researching the companies that made them. But, the truth is, nothing has given me a better appreciation for the labor, skill, and creativity required to make these novelty items than my own attempts to re-create them. For those of you still enjoying Pennant Fever, don't worry: it's not going away. Check back here very soon as I'm currently working on new content I hope to post in the coming weeks. K.R. About me...I collect vintage pennants and banners. Soon after getting into this hobby, I became curious about the companies responsible for their production. I had to look hard, but eventually found a lot of interesting information on many of them, and their products. This site is my repository for that research. Periodically, I will dedicate a post to one of these featured manufacturers. I hope other collectors will find this information useful. Featured Content:
